One Last Post at Dear Lizzie's

As I looked at this sign over the sandwich counter at Dear Lizzie's, I couldn't help noticing the scalloped border and the bows attached to each hanger.  This reminded me of our new Large Scallop Edgelits ( 127019)  and Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die (115950).  Our First Edition Specialty Designer Paper ( 121878) would be excellent  in making these bows.

Always keep your camera  or phone handy because you never know when and where you are going to find great ideas to use in your paper crafting!

Here is another paper bow accented with an assortment of ribbons.

What a fantastic idea for garland to add that special touch to your next  shower, tea party, or  luncheon.  As you look closer, it is made from items that you all ready have in your pantry:  cupcake liners and doilies.  I immediately thought of all those mixed-matched doilies I had and the Paper Doily Sizzlits L (125592) and Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L (126999).  How quickly and simple  would that be to make!

Just a few more pictures of a sampling of the goodies found in the sandwich shop!

Shopping and spending money can wear you out.  One needs their nutriment to be successful in doing both!!  Rhonda Smith to the rescue. . . .Afternoon Tea  at Dear Lizzie's

Our tables awaits us stocked with a variety of teas!

And here is Priss all dressed up for her "Coming Out" party!  What a lovely table!!

FIRST TIME ROOMIE GIFT

A tradition with the group that I hung with at convention was for a first time roomie to receive a "Build-a-Bear!  After luggage was unpacked, gifts exchange, and lunch on chicken balls, the group headed to Gateway Mall to pick out my bear and for others to spend their gift certificates from Rhonda Smith.  OMG!!!  Did I ever have a ball bringing my bear, who I name "Prissy" to life!

Had to add tons of love to her heart.

Prissy is introduced to her proud Auntie Rhonda!

As you can notice, she is lacking some much needed clothing!  That is when the real fun began!  I was like a "kid in a candy store" outfitting my little Prissy with top, bottoms, matching shoes, and of course, I had to shield her eyes from the bright sun with matching sun glasses.

After we left "Build-A-Bear" we headed to Dear Lizzies Boutique and Bistro, Shelli's favorite shoppe, for afternoon tea and more shopping.  You know what that meant, we had to outfit our bears in the appropriate attire. . . . so more shopping for party wear!

Below, Prissy is all dressed up in her new outfit with matching sandals, sun glasses and bows, anxiously waiting for her "coming out " tea party!

Tomorrow:  "The Coming Out Tea Party"

I  AM BACK!!

It is hard to believe that convention is over!  Last week was so much fun visiting with old friends and making new ones.

Below are some of the gifts that I gave my roommates which I put into a bag with the name of my stamping group the Savvy Southern Sister Stampers, since they are honorary members of my group.

What fun it was to make and select these  gifts for special people!

Rhonda Smith, my roommate, is tasting the rock candy Bobbie Meyers gave us in a cute decorated jar with a flower made with our Big Shot dies.
Jennifer Rutkowski is checking out the goodie bags made from SU fabric Rhonda gave us filled with all kinds of goodies, while Terry Bolender and I were taking pictures of each other.

After our gift exchange, Bobbie Meyer, Rhonda Smith, and Jennifer Rutkowski were busy swapping all those card swaps we had been busily making the last month for convention.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Drop in tomorrow for more pre-convention pictures.

Don't Forget Your Envelope!

After you have created your beautiful card, don't stop there. . . .decorate your ENVELOPE!!!  This is a way to start building anticipation for the receiver of your card. One of the most "eye-catching" method is to attach either matching or coordinating designer paper to the flap of the envelope.

Cut your designer paper ~ 5 3/4 x 2 1/4

Attach to the flap using double-sided tape.

Trim off access.

Who wouldn't feel special receiving one of these in the mail!!

Thanks for stopping by.
