Gift Bag for Retirement Gift

I wanted a gift bag as special as the lady the gift was for, but with no luck, I didn't have in my collection of bags one that would fit the bill.  No fear. . . just decided to make it.

Using the "Dress Up" die, cut out the black dresses that were added to each side of the bag and decorated each with the pearls.  The "thank you notes cards" I made fit perfectly into the gift bag which was closed with a black bow.

Hope she likes it!

Thank you for stopping in for a visit!

Getting together to stamp is food for the soul!

Twice each month, the finest group of ladies gather for the primary reason to stamp, but more takes places than just stampin'!  One is the hostess, bringing "goodies" to snack on while we share what  has been going on in our lives.

Kathy served as our hostess for March with loaded bake potato dip, homemade mints and brownies, shortbread cookies and for the healthly part, grapes.

Finally, we sit down to start stamping.  Here we have some of the afternoon group, Leigh, Pam and Kathy.

Around 6:00 PM, the night group comes.  We were happy to have Shannon, home on spring break to join in the fun with her mother and Sandi.  Kathy, being the gracious hostess she is, stayed for both camps to make sure all were well fed!

Here are two of the cards that were made during our fun time visiting with each other.

Want to join in the fun, contact me to reserve your spot at the next camp/class!

Stampin' Up! is More Than Stamps and Card stock!!!

The week before Easter I received a box in the mail from my Northwest Savvy Southern Sister, Rhonda Smith, a SBstamper also!!  The two of us met at convention six or seven years ago and developed an instant friendship!!  Wonder with us both being from the South had anything to do with it!  The only time we see each other is at convention in July, in Salt Lake City.

We fly out several days before the convention to shop, talk, eat, shop, talk, eat, did I mention that we enjoy shopping, talking and eating?

The rest of the year we rely on emails and our weekly texts while we are watching  the NASCAR races.

Back to the box. . . .the Easter Bunny outdid herself!

This was my favorite!!! (no calories!)

Plus this beautiful card!!!

Thanks to Stampin' Up! I have formed beautiful friendships with ladies across this country.  Several of these friends, especially Rhonda, have been with me through the good and the bad.

I am very grateful that Stampin' Up! is more than stamp sets and card stock!!

Thank you for stopping by today!

SAVVY SOUTHERN SISTERS QUARTERLY DOWNLINE MEETING!

Friday night the Savvy Southern Sisters held their  quarterly downline meeting while Shirley was  visiting family and friends !  Emphasis for the meeting was exploring new techniques to WOW our customers at future classes/camps.

The evening began with everyone catching up on what everyone has been doing since our last meeting and, of course, eating!!!  Here Sue, Norma, Michelle, Donna and Rhonda are listening to Shirley as she is sharing her new life in Texas!!

After sharing ideas of how to promote all the exciting promotions, several demonstrators shared a technique that was a favorite of theirs.  Norma shared the bleach technique along with samples she had created.  She was honest in her sharing, including the failures as well as the successes.  This was most helpful to those of us who have been a little hesitant about trying this one.

Donna used the "All Dressed Up" bundle to share how we could create a dress for any occasion using embellishments  from SU.

Hilary shared the shaving cream technique and plenty of WOW sample cards that all could not wait to start taking pictures for future use.

Hilary then shared  knowledge she gained from Leadership as she represented the Savvy Southern Sisters.  As you can tell, all were listening for any helpful information to use in growing our business .

Everyone left with loads of ideas for our classes/camps, smiles on our faces from all the laughter,  and the excitement of what is to come this 25th anniversary of Stampin' Us!

Make sure you check my website daily to make sure you are not missing out on any of  the exciting promotions SU is having during this  silver celebration!

Thank you for stopping by today.

MY MALLARD CREEK HEROES!

I am one lucky gal to have life-long friends who are there when needed!!!
I asked Edward, (the one with the beard on the far right), realtor and friend, if he could
help me move a couple of rooms of furniture out of my home to my garage to make room for
furniture I was moving from Mother's home. Not only did Edward show up but also the other members
of the Bojangles's breakfast group.  Within 15 minutes, 2 bedrooms and a dining room were
emptied  leaving the content of drawers and dust that hadn't seen sunlight in years!!

Mallard Creek is changing physically, but the love, soul and heart of its people are still deeply embedded  within each of us!  I am truly blessed and proud to say "I'm a native of Mallard Creek!" and to
call these guys my cherished friends!

Thank you for being there for Mother and me!

Thanks to you for stopping by today to see what the Savvy Southern Sister is up to!

Yall come back now!!!

Visit from Julie!

The last couple of months have been rather busy with. . .well. . . LIFE!
Now with LIFE slowing down some or at least, getting back to normal,
I hope  to visit with you more.

The first of November, the highlight of my Stampin' Up! career happened. . .
my upline, Julie Gunhus traveled across country from Seattle to
Charlotte to visit the Savvy Southern Sisters!

Savvy Southern Sister Stampers

The first event of the day was, of course, swapping!  It wouldn't be
a Stampin' Up! affair without swapping of ideas!

After swapping, a short downline meeting, and a question and answer
period with Julie, it was time to get busy doing with we love doing the most. . .
STAMPIN'!.  Julie led a scrapbooking class using
the "Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' kit!

After a fun day of fellowship, lots of  laughter, good food, good conversations,
and creative stampin', Julie and I took a tour of Sue's craft cabin and
the city of Charlotte.  A quick change of clothes, we headed to the
Speedway Club for a relaxing dinner and a chance for me to
pick Julie's brain!!!

Julie, a BIG thank you for your motivating visit, your beautiful friendship,
and the perfect timing of your trip.  You appeared when I needed
a friend the most!!!  You are the BEST!

Thank you for stopping by to check out what the Savvy Southern Stampers
have been up to lately!

Y'all come back, now!
